I’ve completed Conjoined. Let’s celebrate! There are a million how-to’s on achieving life’s biggest ambitions. But now that I’ve reached my goal, I find myself asking — What’s next?

As I considered what to write about this month, I realized I hadn’t posted a short story in a while. This is a story created using the following prompt through Reedsy’s weekly writing contests: Write about someone who doesn’t know how to let go.
